Is a musician, educator and recording/mixing engineer best known for playing bass in the bands AUTARKH and DEAR MOTHER, as well as a session player knowledgable in a wide variety of genres.
Desmond graduated with a BM in Sound & Music Technology from the Tilburg based Rockacademy in 2014. He has since worked as a bass player, educator and sound engineer in the Netherlands with artists/organisations like Cartographer, Chiraw, Extremities, Metal Factory, Musicbox Productions, Scarlet Stories, Shuulak, Witte Wieven and many others.
He has performed and toured internationally as a bassist for a wide variety of pop, rock and metal artists, playing small intimate venues, large arenas and national television. Performances include 70000 Tons of Metal, Castlefest, Complexity Fest, FemME, Hellfest, Incubate Festival and Roadburn, as well as being featured in the music documentary Muziekstad. Desmond is currently working on various (instrumental) projects exploring instrumental jazz, video game soundtracks and East Asian music.
